compatibility with zoos

Can anyone tell me if zoos have problems being next to cloves, acansthastrea, ricordia, or green star polyps? I have a zoo predominant tank but have added some of these other corals more recently.

most everything seems to do fine next to my zoos. watch the green star polyps as they will take over the zoos.

You'll want to keep them apart as much as possible. Sometimes colonies will seem to live in perfect harmony, but always, one will overgrow the other. It's just a matter of time and opportunity.

Plus, if you have a problem with zoas growing over everything, then it's time for a Zoa frag workshop.

i would think an acan could devour a zoa if close enough.

An acan and most other LPS corals would do a lot of damage to a zoa colony. Yet it's incredible to see a zoa colony grow around the offending coral and then all it needs is an opportunity. If the LPS should get sick, the zoas will move in and make sure the LPS doesn't come back.
