Would I be able to add a pair of Rod's Onyx clowns to my 24g nano with my pair of false percs in there? all i have in there are the pair of false percs and a few inverts here and there; none harmful to clowns. Or would they attack each other or not have enough space? thanks

That would be a bad idea. Odds are you would end up with just one pair.

Wouldn't even suggest it if you had a 75 gallon tank.

ok cool thanks. I wasn't sure if i had heard somewhere that false percs and percs can live in small groups rather than just pairs. thats all i needed to know

they live in groups...but there's a pair at the top...and then a bunch of sexless clowns below and even they have a pecking order for next in line. the chances of your rod's onyx pairing is going to be slim unless they're already paired and the false percs aren't yet...but if none of the fishes have really paired up, the chances of the two rod's onyx pairing up are 25% because one of them could pair up with one of the false perc, or they might not even pair up at all because the two false percs might pair up...if you were going to chance it, i'd make sure that the rod's onyx pair up first and make sure the false percs don't pair up at all...having two paired up pairs isn't a good idea...you might be able to get by (if you're lucky) with having a paired and then two more than are unpaired...and it also depends on the size of the false percs compared to the rod's onyx...

honestly, right now i have a paired of picasso clowns...and another smaller picasso (juvi) clown all in a 20 gallon and the pair seems to be fine with the other smaller picasso...they don't bother the little guy s at all (but at the moment it's not a threat to the pair due to it's size)...but this isn't going to be long term as i need to hold the smaller guy for my brother who's out of town for another month and a half...
