Complete disaster/ down but not out

That sucks! im sorry to hear it.
That's why I went with the cheapy aqueon 75.
Prolly some horror story's out there but marineland has a bunch..

Please keep us updated on Marinelands response. So long as you didn't modify it, I'm wondering they'll fix this. Side note though: I have a tony LFS nearby, and the owner was telling me of an issue one of his frequent customers had with a Marineland aquarium. It leaked everywhere killing all of his livestock, but they offered to replace the aquarium and every piece of livestock in his tank so long as he provided receipts.

Aqueon is The old all glass aquarium. They had a pretty solid reputation up to 125 gallon. I don't know much about their larger tanks.

You should try to get them to pay for the livestock that their defect killed. You could threaten to take them to small claims court since they had a warranty on the tank at the time and you should be able to take pictures and prove it was their fault the tank leaked.

I just spoke with marineland and they offered to replace every fish and anything I bought at my local hardware store to clean up the mess! Definitely was not expecting that.

UPDATE: spoke with marineland, and they are replacing EVERYTHING. Fish, stand, tank, and any damage that was done. Luckily I had no damage, but I can't believe they offered.

Does anyone know if the 150 gallon LONG tanks are made better? I was thinking about going in that direction. It seems people have better luck with longer tanks because the weight of the water is spread out?

Glad to hear, doesn't make it less of a tragedy but it helps you to get back into it.
