I can't get a good picture but i bought a snail today that looked like a small conch. He was in the tank with all the ceriths. The shape is very similar to a conch but he doesn't have the "eye stalks" like conchs i have seen pics of. Is it possible i dont have a conch or is it just not "mature"?

They all kind of have eye stalks, of one sort or the other. Conchs have a ringed pupil that looks a little like a human eye.

If it doesn't have the little flipper it's not a conch. Chances are it is a crown conch which is a species of predatory welk and they will eat any bivalves and snails in the tank. Google crown conch and if its that throw it out in the yard, return it or sump it. Have had several new guys pick these up at lfs and it raided their cuc very fast

I had one of them once. It was pretty cool to watch it attack snails, but that isn't really compatible with keeping a CUC. After I found a crab attacking stuff, I boiled some water and used a turkey baster to get the crab and the crown conch. The rest of my tank ate good that day.
