condy and damsel

On Wednesday I did a 20% WC with 1.023 water (near match of the tank water, heated, etc). During this time a PH was replaced with a similar one in a similar location (but slightly more flow, not too much change for where condy has been for a week or so).
Tonight (Friday) I fed as usual and afterwards I notice the black spotted damsel is hovering around the condy. Later I go down and on my way into the room I swear I see the damsel in the tentacles. The condy does not seem to have moved it's foot but is facing a different direction in the tank (had been that way since thursday morning).
I am somewhat concerned that the damsel may be bothering the anemone.
So, is this something to worry about or monitor? Anything I should be doing?

damsels and anemonefish are in the same family, and some damsels will host anemones as well. I dunno how common for a damsel to host a condy, tho. I've seen Clarks and maroons hosting condys at the lfs. Most of what I've read says that since the condy is not a normal host, the possibility exists that it may eat the fish hosting it. Something to watch for, and it may come to removing one or the other to protect their safety.

If the spotted Damsel is a Domino Damsel, it is perfectly normal. They are regularly found in anemones, especially when young. I have read that as they get older and lose the spots they do not bother with anemones anymore. My Domino would run clowns out of the anemone. Dominos are so immune to anemones they can even be seen deep into the mouth, not just in the tentacles.

It is indeed a domino damsel. I've watched a bit today and still see the damsel hovering around, even saw him get touched on the side by tentacles a few times. We'll see how it goes. I am mostly concerned with possible detrimental effects for the anemone at this point.

It has been a few days, I have seen him in the tentacles a few more times but it seems rare. I usually only see that when I am coming into the room. No ill-effects for either party.

The damsel is definitely comfortable in the anemone's space. Both parties seem to be doing well. I see the damsel among the tentacles much more often now, but not touching very often.

my clowns host in a condy and not in my BTAs. Ive been told that the condy could eat the clowns so just to be sure i make sure i feed the condy every few days to keep it happy.
