Hey guys, I have a condy that I took from a tank that was crashing to save it. I know these like high light, preferably metal halides or T5. I have normal fluorescent bulbs on a 36" 30g tank. I placed the condy and the rock it was attached to towards the top of the tank and where it wasn't getting to much water movement. He really starting looking great and eating good. He stayed there for a few weeks then decided to move down on the back side of the rock by the sand, he was out of view like this and not getting much light. After 4 days went by and he didn't move, I turned his rock so that he was on the top of the rock not the side and moved the rock to the other end of the tank. He stayed there for 2 days and now just tonight he went down to the bottom almost to the sand. I am wondering what is causing him to want to head down to the sand? I have a peppermint shrimp, blue damsel, 24lbs live rock. Is this because of low lighting? Is this a sign of stress or death? I think it might be time to donate him into the LFS.
