Condy question

I just purchased a condy today. When i set him in the tank, I put him on a rock in a great spot. now the condy has moved to under the rock. Will he move out of this spot? He wont get enough light if he is in this spot. It's almost like he's hiding, or trying to find a better place and is stuck on the underside of the rock. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions?

He will move around as he pleases, just hope he finds a home he like before it hurts any of your corals. I had two in my tank one has only moved an inch or so and back, the other moved all over the tank and stung every coral in its path. It also seemed to like to stay near corals and sting them, then it would move if I moved the coral next to it.

good thing I dont have any coral, just live rock and fish right now. I turned the rock over and moved it, hopeing he will be able to find a good spot now. Before it was like he was stuck or trapped, because he was on the bottom of a rock that was at the top of the tank and couldnt go anywhere.

a mind of their own

a mind of their own

I have found with mine that it has a mind of its own; it knows best and mine has moved 2 times in the tank ; I moved the rock he was on and he didn't like the new position so he moved back up ; he has also squeezed b/t two rocks; I figure it is like us ; we know what cabinet the cookies are in or if we are hot , cold . too hot in the sunshine etc ; I would just let him be
