so i got a candylactis gigantea and i turned off all of the flow, placed it where i thought it would be happy, let it sit for 30 minutes, turned my circulation pump that is on the opposite side of the tank on, waited an hour, turned my return pump on, waited 20 minutes and turned my last circulation pump on. the anemone had attached itself but is not floating around. it will beable to find a spot right? anything i can do to help it?

anddd i just watched it get sucked into the middle of my rocks -___________- looks like ill be doing some reconstructing tonight

Without knowing anything about your setup it's hard to say. What lighting and what SG?

I have 2 Condys. They're side-by-side in a 185 gal under 250W MH, SG is 1.026. They are both on the bottom ... one is attached to the bottom of the tank and the other is attached to a small rock. They are in an area of mid flow. Neither have moved since being placed there.

If yours is new then its looking for it's comfort zone. You need to let it find where it wants to be.

well it doesnt seem to move much. it got pushed to the back of my tank in the dark with low flow. i cant figure out how it got there unless the flow pushed it but it wasnt there the other day. will it find a way out?

and my lights are 2 10K T5 and 2 actinic T5 SG is 1.026

How old is your tank?

You might be amazed at how well anemones can move around and even climb over things like the weir at the top of an overflow. But they aren't that smart, so even though it's hiding in a dark hole in the rocks, it may not find it's way out. Give it time (I'd wait a week at least), if it doesn't come out, start tearing rocks apart. This is one of the big problems with anemones. They can find a spot and live there for years, then one day pick up and start to move around. Remember, your anemone doesn't give a hoot about your expensive sps coral or huge and valuable zoa colony. It goes where it wants to go, which is part of the reason I have a seperate nem tank.

My tank is about 6 months old. So it will be fine suck down in a crevace for a week with little flow, little light and no food?

I got it from a local store. It was healthy and eating and full and had its foot buried in the sand but not attached
