SO my Condy has been in the same spot for a few months now, top 3rd of the tank attached to live rock. Out of nowhere he started moving 3 days ago and has placed his self-bottom 3rd of the tank attached to the side of some live rock. I have not seen him "inflated" like he usually is since he's moved, just kind of stays shriveled up but his foot is definitely still attached to live rock. Should I be worried?
pH 8.2
SG 1.024
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 40-60

Yup, nitrates are very high, you should be in the 5-10 range.
Did you make any recents changes.....esoecially lighting?

No I had the tank fallow for the last 2.5 months and decided to let some dry rock cycle while clowns were in QT. I have been doing water changes every week. He has been fine until 3 days ago. I guess I can up the water changes to every other day to get the nitrates down?

Yes for water change to bring the nitrates down but I never do anything to quick.
10% every two days, test at end of week.

There may be nothing at all. Sometimes they just shrink, move a bit, and expand again.....but could be sensitive to higher nitrates, same with corals, and this number should come down regardless.

Do you feed?
If so what?
When was last time?

The creature has a super low digestion, will shrink to process, will shrink to expel wastes.

Feed maybe once a month silversides or brine shrimp
about 3 weeks ago.

I checked on him this morning and he was definitely dead, gently touched him with a net and he started falling apart. Did a 12% water change this morning, Will do one every 2 days until the nitrates are down, all other parameters look good.
