Everything in my tank is happy except two neon green leathers. Bought them as unmounted frags, mounted them on small plugs, placed them on a LARGE (15-20lbs) chunk of marshall islands rocks, and they took off, growing onto the rocks and eventually into contact with a nearby colt (that's also growing quite quickly).

They made contact one day, and the tips closed. The rest of the corals stayed open (stalk, other branches). Since then, they opened less and less, and are now closed for the 10th straight day.

I had expected that if it was the colt, they'd open partially (towards the other side), but they're not opening, so I think I need to do some rearranging, but everything is on huge rocks, so it's going to require cutting...

Sound right? Or is there some other possibility that would make 2 corals in a happy tank stay closed when everything else seems fine?

No angels, no butterfly fish.

Stocking list:
1 purple firefish
1 true perc
1 royal gramma
2 bar gobies (dartfish)
2 lyretail anthias
1 sixline wrasse
2 green chromis

Various shrimp, snails, crabs

It's the colt. I had a toadstool that wasn't opening when placed next to the colt. I moved it away and it opened up.
