Damn, I hate when this happens.
Ever go to one of those conferences where they schedule speakers you really want to hear in the same time slot? Well, in this case it's my two main clubs, LIRA and LIKA. It's usually not a problem since LIRA is the 1st Fri and LIKA the 2nd. And since I switched to all salt water a few years ago, LIKA is more of a social gathering for me -- a get-together with guys I've known for 35 years. So... not really a big deal when our BOD switched us to the 2nd Fri -- I would just skip the LIKA meeting.
So... what do my LIKA buds do? They schedule a speaker on SEAHORSES! LOL Most of you know these fish are my main interest (followed lately by breeding clownfish).
What to do? Mr. Saltwater Tank, or a talk on Seahorses given by the current chairman of the AKA (American Killifish Association)? Yes, that's right, why on Earth isn't he speaking on... killifish?!
After much deliberation, I decided to make the assumption that the Seahorse talk would not be telling me anything I didn't already know, and, that I could in all liklihood learn more from Mark Callahan.
See you guys friday night.
