Confused about assigning sockets

Hello,

I just got my profilux hooked up finally and I am trying to get some basic things configured. I just got my auto top off working using the optical sensor and dosing pump.

Heres how I set it up:

Digital power bar starting number: 1
(so S1 thru S6?)

Dosing pump starting number: 7
(so S7-S9)

I set S9 to by Water1 and it started working.

I am confused because I have read other people say that when "Digital Powerbars" is enabled, that S1-S4 is disabled, and everything starts at S5. I also read in the manual that for the Profilux Plus II that S1-S8 were 'integral parts of the controller' and cannot be reassigned. So why did it let me assign how I did, and why is it working???


So what is confusing me? Are you supposed to be able to assign digital powerbars to start at S1 like that???

Mine start at 5 because I also have an analog powerbar and if you mix an analog and digital bars the count starts at 5.

Just like jp said, it only does that when you add an analog powerbar into the mix....

oh I see, didn't know it depended on that.

thanks guys! everything seems to be working fine, all the sockets are responding to input correctly. this thing is fun to play with once you get the basic idea.

now I just need to do the firmware update tomorrow.
