Confused about Clean up crew's

I have looked alot of places at clean-up crews. Everyone is different. Everyone has a different opinoin on what you need and what works. I looked at one and they said mexican turbo snails will die due to the temp of the water in reef tanks. So why are they included? Alot of people say hermits are bad but they are included also. Where can i get a Clean-up crew that works. TRhat what I want? Anyone ?

probably make a broad distinction between a BB and a sandbed crew as a first step. get the crew to fit your setup.

I have BB so I can only speak from that perspective.

I have found that Astrea, Trochus, Nerite, Strombus,etc snails that work the rocks are the best snails. of those, Astreas and Trochus are the best cleaners.
I have found that mithrax crabs clean around the corals well.

all the other things I have tried are useless, especially hermit crabs.

My advice for BB is one Astrea snail per gallon and maybe one mithrax per 25 gallons or so.

Then if you have additional very specific problems, get the specific crewmember for that problem.
