Confused!!! Pregnant or gas bubble

if his pouch is full of air, he'll float . the amount of floating is dependant on how much air is in there. is he having problems swimming at all?

o.k.. how about pregnant and gas bubble combo? I kind of thought he was pregnant but he was floating around upside down at the same time. He ate fine. I did push some gasses and air bubbles out and some babies came out as well. I was gentle throught the whole time of course. It took only 10 seconds until the stomach was free of gasses and air. He ate immediatly afterwards and swims fine. Because their being babies inside could this have hurt him? I will not have access to my computer for the next two hours but will return with any further information upon examaning his behaviour. Thanks

keep an eye on him, i'm not sure what effect the procedure will have on the developing fry that remain in his pouch. things could proceed without incident or he could deliver dead fry. this may sound rather gross but did the babies look decomposed in anyway? how long do you think he was pregnant?

Fry look like their about 10 days old. Very tiny, clean with no sign of anything abnormal. My attention is always on these little guy's. I will surely keep a closer eye on him. If it comes to him delevering dead fry is their anything I need to do? Thanks for your help so far everyone.

I've done pouch evacuations on a few pregnant seahorses before. All aborted their young early.
