i'm looking for a protein skimmer for my 100 gal which has been set up for 4 days .I would really like to know what the difference is between a super skimer-needle wheel and a protein skimmer.also should i I bee conserned that I dont have a skimmer on a new set up which is still cycling.

The needle wheel just have a needle wheel on the end in the pump and that helps with bubbles. Both are Protein skimmers.

A skimmer will help the tank cycle more quickly by removing decaying proteins from the water. From what I've read the super-skimmers are pretty good skimmers for not that much money.

just to add, I have a CSS 65 model on my 75 gallon and its pulling about a cup a day. I also run anthor skimmer on the tank as well.
