I just stared a 20gal, yes i know it is not big like the rest of you guys bit i'm just starting out give me time Now can i have maybe reef coral or some type of plants or live rock and if son what type?

I would just use live rock with that small of a tank. Don't invest in corals as they require very good water quality to thrive. Unless your willing to keep diligent watch on your tank.

I have a 14gallon biocube with upgraded lighting and have zoas, mushrooms, ricordias, and frog spawn so i would say if you have good filtration and lighting you can have a very nice 20gal coral reef tank

well like i say i just started so for now i just have a T-5 light and a reg hang on filter that i used for one of my fresh water tanks i have a 20, two 30, and a 55 gal freshwater and now starting the salt water

You can keep anything in a 20g - There are people on here keeping SPS, LPS, Softies Clams, in a 5g tank. You just have to have the right equipment. Corels you are pretty much open to A LOT! Fish on the other hand, you are limited. You can't stick a Sohoal Tang in there. It all depends on your equipment.

Do your research on here, look through the threads. get some T-5 lights, a nice Hang On Back SKIMMER and weekly to biweekly water changes, You can keep a lot of different corals. Get about 20-30lbs of live rock for you filtration, since you don't have a sump this will work good. Read through the "NANO" forms. A lot of information for smaller tanks.

Good Luck! Read, Read, Read!! And Take Your Time.
