Considering A Tunze Set-up

Hello,
Im considering a Tunze Set-up over a CL. My current tank is a 100 gal thats 60 x 18 x 20. I have a single Overflow w/ a mag 9 as a return pump. Ive had a SCWD as a closed loop on my old 55 gal but didnt like all the plumbing that goes with it and I also had problems w/ the SCWD itself. heres My question:

What do you think would be the most practical and cheapest setup for the 100 gal? ATM Im running moslty LPS and some softies. Ive added some SPS to the tank recentlyand they are in high flow areas covered by the return pump and maxi-jet 1200's. Ive read about the awesome reliability and customer service of the Tunze and this is weighing heavily on my decision.

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm...

Your tank dimensions are about the same as mine (except my depth is 24" vice 20"). I'd initially purchased a single 6000 and singlecontroller, but after running that setup a couple of months, I decided that with that 5' tank, it wasn't ideal. Just yesterday I took delivery of another 6000 and multicontroller. I think that combo would set you up nicely, although it'll be a bit pricey.

If you do go that route, I'd recommend waiting a couple of weeks until the new multicontroller comes out. (I found out about it AFTER I place my recent order, unfortunately) I'd also strongly suggest getting a pair of the new magnet holders for the streams... they're well worth the extra cost.

As Dave said. That really is the ideal. You could also run two 6060's on timers but you can't use a wavemaker, at least 1hr delay has to exist between off and on so I would run each for an hour with 15 minute overlaps to create a surge.
