I'm considering purchasing a JR but had a question. I could see myself controlling 12 devices w/ this easily. The problem for me is that I've got four seperate circuits for my tank. Some of them dedicated (chiller etc.). I plan on getting one DC8 for the circuit furthest from my tank (w/ the most devices plugged into it). In keeping this affordable however I would like to get single X10 receptacles for the dedicated circuits. Will I be able to control the DC8 on the one circuit and 4 xm receptacles on various circuits? Will I need anything other then the receptacles for those to function? This is all new to me.

Yes, you can use X10 in combination with the direct connect boxes. You will need a control interface (part # IM513), and then control modules (likely part #CM466) for each X10 controlled device.
