controller question

i have decided to go tunze in my 120 SPS.....
i can't decide between the 6000 and the 6060.......
is the controller required to run the 6000? or can i just get that later on down the road?
already having 1800gph on sea swirls from my return, im thinking i will only need 1 tunze...and because of this, getting the 6060 would make sense......what should i do?

It will work without the controller. I would go with the 6000 but the 6060 would be OK if you are content with just a constant flow.
