I went with the aquacontroller Jr over the 3 becuase I didn't need the extra function. It seemed like the maor difference is the ORP monitor/conrol. I am not set up to control ORP so I figured if the time ever coomes when I am I will just buy a serperate conroller. In my research on the reefkeeper vs the neptune products it seemed like everyone was much happier with the ability to control the neptune products. I haven't even set mine up yet or used reefkeeper products but those are the main reason I just went with the JR.

put my vote for the RK2.
i also have not finished setting it up. I will not have the ability to try a ACJr personnaly, very few actually used both! My final decision was based on looks, and the RK2 has a cool off restart for MH lights after a power outage. The current models are pretty much the same between RK2 and ACJr. RK2 comes as a complete package, the ACJr needs to be ordered seperately. The AC3 does have more features, but more money than i was allowed to spend! It also has the direct ethernet connection.

old thing is i just compared prices with the same opitions and both came out to 317 from the comapnys direct. so both the jr and rk2 are the same price give or take. i think comparing the aquacontroller 3 to them two is not a good match. hench my bmw is nicer than you honda

I have been thoroughly enjoying the AC3, it has been wonderful to me so far and the customer service from Curt at Neptune has been great as well.

nope the probe was bad, the controller was fine... They are mailing me a new probe...
