controller questions

I have the reefkeeper 2, and from what I understand; the reefkeeper lite 1 is a very good unit. The cool thing is that it is expandable. You can add more modules, if you choose. With the reefkeeper 2, I cannot add anthing else (i.e. another pH probe).

I am very satisfied with the Reefkeeper 2, it does everything I want; but the new line of Reefkeepers are just better because they are expandable. The Reefkeepers are also easy to program and the tech support is decent.

Good luck with your purchase.

Don't rule out the level 2 or 3. I got to drop off some more cash for an additional sl1 or sl2 and a probe for my RKE which uses the same accessories as the lite. If my memory serves me correctly, you can save money buying a level 2 or 3 now instead of upgrading later.

One more thing Preston;
Probably the biggest advantage to using a controller like the Reefkeeper Lite/Elite/2 is the safety cutoff feature. You can set a cutoff temp for your lights; so if your tank temp gets above a certain temp, then the lights will turn off, dropping your tank temp almost immediately.

yeah chris i know but i can't swing that price right now, and 99 bucks is really good right now, plus i don't have reactors and such as you do, so the lite will be plenty
