Controlling 6060

They say that the Tunze 6060 is non-controllable. I understand that the Tunze multi-controller wont work on it. I am wondering if I can controll the 6060 via my AquaController Jr. For instance alternate my two 6060's on off every minute or so. It will obviously work, as it's just turning power on an off, not lowering voltage, etc. I am wondering if it voids the warranty or causes excessive stress on the pumps.

I asked this same question on the filtration forum and someone said you should wait 1hr before turning it on or off...well in that case what about feed mode on my controller?

It will destroy the pump, the brake shoes will be shredded and the pump will overheat and it voids the warranty. The pump should run one hour between off cycles- you can turn it off for a few seconds but it shouldn't be off more than 24 times in a day. Basically this is the maximum you can turn it off and on in a day and expect any sort of reasonable life from the brake shoes, if the brake shoes go, the pump will run without any cooling and overheat and turn itself off, after so many times of tripping the overheat safety, it will break permanently.

OK, so feed mode is OK, and if I decide to alternate power to the Tunzes, 1hr on, 1hr off intervals is acceptable. That means it would actaully only turn off 12x perday, plus once for feeding. Is that control plan acceptable, or will that also significantly reduce pump life?
