Controlling Green Star Polyps...Can it be done??

I have two different types of GSP in my tank. They are both growing at a crazy rate. I am looking for advice on controlling their takeover and what others do to remove/control them.

One thing I've done is put them on a rock island, they have not moved to the underside of the rock (no light) so they have not advanced any further. The other colonies are another issue.

Might be a bit drastic but I just re-aquascaped my tank to take care of some of them... they have a harder time of spreading if they're not getting enough light.

Other than that I've tried placing rock rubble on the edges of growth and moving them as the gsp starts over the rock which worked most of the time.

wish i had that problem - i bought a frag recently and they have never opened and wont grow. same with xenia, just melts away in my tank.....
