How about telling her that those pretty tangs you have will have to go, because everyone one RC says that your tank isn't nearly big enough?? You can even print a couple of the posts to prove it to her...

And when she pouts, tell her the only thing you can do to save them, is get a minumum four foot tank... preferrably a six ft tank...

my wife convinced me to get a 300 i was going to get a 155bowfront and she was like no get this one it looks bigger
