according to national plumbing code:

PVC is not to be used for potable water!!!!
reason ? leaches toxins in to water that are considered to be not safe for ingestion.

... glad to using all flex.

Some new homes are being biuld strictly with PVC to keep cost down and environment clean... I don't think it post a big threat.

cpvc is different than pvc. pvc can't be used for hot water It cant handle it.

The pipe's I used say drinking water safe... Still more reason to use carbon though.
