I was wandering the tanks of a local fish store out here in Lansing, and had a few bucks to burn (my paycheck, and tax refund checks posted on the same day). I was debating between a few diffrent things from acros to zoas (A-Z, haha, get it?)
Then I saw this thing. There was no price listed, but it looked like a $75 piece, so I almost passed it up. I, just out of curiosity, asked a friend of mine who works there how much it was, and he didnt know so he asked another employee. The other guy said that it came in as a hitch-hiker on a leather colony so I could have it for $25. I was shocked, and immediately said yes - without having an exact idea what it was. I knew it looked like a favia, but it looked different enough that it could have been something completely different. I posted abot it in a local forum and found that it was a Leptastrea, which is in the favia family apparently.
It's in my prop system right now, which is more or less a holding system to hold corals for me to bring home when I head home on the weekends from college.
