I am currently running a Gen-xpc30 external pump, and i am having heat issues bad. It keeps my chiller running constant. It takes about 20 mintues from the time the chiller shuts down until it is right back on again. I have my chiller set at 80* , and the chiller even has to run at night with no lights heating the tank up.
My question, is there something i can do to help this pump run cooler, or is there an external pump that will put out less heat. When i look at pumps, the GenX pumps say that they are the coolest running pump on the market, so being that this is my first external pump, i have no idea if that is right or not. I have to do something though. This chiller running around the clock is costing a small fortune, and the wife is getting a little testy about the electric bill over a fish tank
