ya you can take zip lock bags with your tank water and freeze them and change them out every hour. =P

A fan blowing across your tank or sump would cool the water

I've also frozen RODI in one 1L bottles and changed them out a couple of times a day. As much as I hate the extra topping off that needs to happen, evap with a fan is the most sure fire way. Also, if you can, leave the lid off and make sure your lights aren't too close to the water. Finally, keep your house cool if you can; I keep mine around 79 although that is the upper limit of my comfort and certainly my wallet. People have said that they would rather pay a little more in AC than spending the electricity to run a chiller.

I got two 5 dollars clip on fans and it took my tank down 6 degrees I have about 5 gallons of evaporation a day

Yep, clip-on fans are the way to go. Just one blowing across my sump drops my tank's temp by 8 degrees.

in the past i froze 2 liter coke bottles and floated. helped alot along with fans
