copepods and amphipods

I want to jumpstart my pod population. Has anyone ordered any online lately, or seen some at an lfs? Im trying to find someplace other than reefs2go for this order.

I think discount was also saying they had copepods, I need to figure out w place too as I will be getting some as soon as the sump is hooked up this week.

As much grief as they get here, it is the one thing Reefs to go does well...

Yep...ordered pods from them on a few occasions. Tons of amphipods, and I assume copepods but they are hard to see. May also come with mysis or planaria... so just be aware :)

I have done 4 orders with them for pods and the first two were good experiences. I was hoping to find another provider to try out.

Im going to swing by the Aquarius. I prefer to buy local anyway but every time i see amphipods for sale they are pretty pricey for bugs.

Reef stew is sold at a lot of local shops and it is supposed to be brine and copepods, no amphipods though. Discount Aquarium did say they would be stocking a number of different pods but I think that has fallen off during the remodel.

I placed an order with getyourpods .com . They always have sales and free snails with orders. Everything showed up alive and well, even with standard ground shipping.

hm looks interesting, I might have to try that one the sump is hooked up and I have the fuge section set up as I will need to stock it. Plus since I plan on taking the turbo snails out of the DT it wouldnt hurt to get some free nassarius and more cerith they have for 30cents each.

Wade, thanks for the site, looks pretty good. When you got your order was it just copepods or was there some amphipods in there too?

TONs of amphipods! I wish I had taken a picture. My Bangaii just stayed right in front of my return for weeks grabbing them as soon as they popped out.

I used to bred amphipods. if there's enough interest around here, I would consider starting up again. I've seen the retail prices at the local shops and its highway robbery!
