Copepods?

Three weeks ago I upgraded my tank from a 30 gallon to a 90 gallon tank. A few days ago I noticed tiny white things all over my glass. They look like small fleas. They only seem to be on the glass when the light is on. I wipe them off but they come back the next day. Are these copepods or something else?

Copepods. The population will rise and fall based on a number of factors mostly available food and predation, but overall they are a sign of health and certainly nothing to worry about.

Good luck with the 90, ask questions when you have them.

could you get a picture?
sounds like copepods, but it could be isopods or something else.
it seems strange you only see them at daytime...i alsways see the most after lights out.

It is hard to get a good pic because they are so small. I also see them on my live rock. I don't see them moving around, it only looks like they are just waving in water currant.

They don't look like that, they are real small and look like little plants. it seems like there are a lot less today then yesterday.

Do they have little stalks attached to the glass? They sound like hydroids. I've seen them on rocks before, tiny white things with many arms, waving in the water currents.

If you can see them close enough, they should look like this.
