Copper being absorbed by live rock?

I have a Purple Tang with ich in a 12 gallon quarantine tank. I am treating the tank with Cupramine. However, I cannot get the copper to register even with a Seachem test kit. I have a couple of small pieces of live rock in the tank to give the tang some comfort. Is this rock absorbing the copper? And if I remove it then would the tang be comfortable living in what would be a completely bare tank? Thanks!!

you should use some PVC pipe or LFS store ornaments instead of LR cause as you said it is likely absorbing the chemicals...PLUS copper and such chemicals are no good for pods/ inverts and bacterias living in your now dead rock...

tank shouldnt be completely bare...there should be a heater for him to hide behind..LOL Just kidding..
