Copper in fish food???

Hi guys, I have been feeding my fishes in my fowlr system something called New Life Spectrum Pellets and I was reading the ingredients list and it says that it contains somthing called Copper Proteinate. Another food I have been feeding is called Dainichi Veggie Fx Pellets and this food containts copper sulfate. The fishes go crazy over the stuff and they are looking really healthy. I do have cleaner shrimps and hermit crabs in the tank was well and they seem to be fine. I was thinking about adding some soft corals to the tank soon and was wondering if the food containing the copper would be detrimental to anything that is in the tank or going into the tank in the near future like soft corals?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks...

someone has asked this before...i found it very interesting but i remember someone who knew what they were talking about saying that all these living creatures need a teeny bit of copper in their system to survive...im sure this food does just that otherwise it would say FISH ONLY or NOT FOR REEF AQUARIUMS

in any case dont take my word as a deciding factor as i may be wrong but its what ive read. hope it helps

Yes, agree with the above, my tank is all invert and I've used spectrum new life pellets with no issues in the past; before I found Rod's food---it rocks. ;p You can ask this question in the chemistry forum if you want a more definitive answer to assuage your concerns. Good luck with your tank.
