Is there anyway to remove copper from a UV sterlizer..i treated my hospital tank with copper and forgot to turn off the UV and now i want to put this UV on another tank. any thoughts would be appericiated.
I don't think you would have a problem .. the UV devices I am familiar with are glass and I would simply do a good washing - maybe a soak in some vinegar. Copper tends to bind to calcium carbonate (live rock, aragonite etc) I suspect any copper precipitation on glass should go away with vinegar and water.
