Copper treatment ill effects?

I have recently dosed my tank which has sand in it for ich with coppersafe. I know it s not reccommended, but it is the only way to go since I have a 150 gallon tank, and not enough quarantine for all the fish. It has been three days and it seems that a couple of the fish are more infected than the start, is this normal in the begginning of treatment?

Are you testing the copper levels? I have never used Coppersafe, but if you aren't seeing improvement after several days I would be concerned that the sand (and any rock you have) might be grabbing up the copper, reducing the levels to below therapeutic doses. If this is happening, the treatment will not be effective.
