had him for about 2 weeks has white clumps on him had ick 5 years ago not ick i dont think looks like califlower.got 6 other fish no signs of notning perimeters of water good any advise

lymphocystis. No big deal. Good nutrition and water will fix it.

I agree with Snorvich, "cauliflower" is the key word often used to describe lymphocystis. Its a virus, not dangerous. Without a pic, I think this is the only possible answer.

Assuming this is Lympho, then this is one of the few times when putting the fish in a QT won't really help. If it's getting really bad I would start doing WCs, running carbon and soaking your fish food is Selcon or Vitachem (or what the hell, even garlic). Do whatever you can to boost your fish's immune system.

Lympho is a virus. I call it the herpes of the fish world. Your fish will always have the virus, and when it "flares up", only a strong immune system can fight off the symptoms. It's rarely fatal, but I have lost older fish (10+ yrs) to it.
