i got a copper banded the other day and have it in my sump, i was going to do a bit rock work before putting it in the main tank, last night and today it is "flashing"? i think its called on the rocks and pipes, also shakeing its head, it is still interested in food and has eaten some mysis and picks at the rocks, iam going to set up my 10g QT up right now and put him in there, but what is wrong with it? i dont see ick so iam gessing parasites? i cant see well at all and i dont use test kits, or a hydrometer for that reason, so i havent had much luck treating sick fish to date:(, i was thinking of doseing with prazipro? mabie seachem para gard? iam realy afraid to sue copper sence you need to test for it, also i have a cycled ac30 for QT should i remove the sand and rock? or is that just when doseing copper?

also could i get some suggestions for some good meds to have on hand? so far i know prazipro is good, at least for FW, pima/melafix, what about maracyn? or paraguard though?

paraguard is a substitute for formalin. If you are not sure you could always give baths in paraguard and then dose qt with prazipro. It sounds like he has flukes or some internal parasite to me so i would at least dose the qt with prazipro and if he doesnt get any better start paraguard baths.

i would say that about 95 % of butterflies come to us standard if you will with flukes it always a good thing to qt and treat all fish as if they had flukes or any other diseases cause it can cost you in the long run
