Coppersafe dosing instructions wrong?

Hey yall, so im using mardel coppersafe in a 10 gallon QT tank, i added the recomendded dosage to get a reading of 0.5 no joke. So i ended up increasing the dosage (3 tsp instead of 2) and now im getting 1.5-2 range. Im using API test kit.

Has this happened to anyone else??

I don't know all the chemistry; but some copper is not compatible with some copper test kits. I'd try to find a tech support number for Mardel and call them; most companies are a great help.

usually from personal experience the api kit is dead on when used with coppersafe. cupramine on the other hand i use the seachem test since the type of copper used between those two medications are different.
