I am using Madrel's CopperSafe treatment in a quarantine tank to treat a mild case of ich on a new arriviving powder blue tang.
I have never used coppersafe before and was wondering what other's experience has been with this product. There is no specified PPM on the label, but I found reccommended dose concentrations on the web of 1.5 ppm to 2.0 ppm. According to the website's, this is the target ppm.
I started out with half the recommended dose for my tank and tested the Cu levels and found the levels to be ~.25 ppm (slightly lower).
At this point I do not plan to deviate from the instructions on the box, therefore based on my initial dose my final medicating dose in the tang will probably be around .5 ppm.
What is with the descrapancy in information?
