coquina clams in reef tank?

Yes, and they won't make it.. My kids brought some home in a bucket, and I figured I would try and save them, but they will end up dieing... Looked cool for a week or two.
 
I had some live for four or five months before finally dying, most likely due to starvation. "Some" is eight out of eighteen originals, so not a great survival percentage. They were not the typical ocean coquina though, a slightly different one I found from the lagoon here.

here is a picture of what they look like, they have multiple colors and you can pretty much find any color you are looking for at the beach besides black.

those look cool, and you just find them, and they live (or dont) in your tank, well, that is kinda cool
 
They are all over the place back in Clearwater, right were the water meets the sand, next time I am home I am going to have to grab a bunch to bring up and try out. After I figure out how to feed them since I dont want them to die.
