I just bought 2 zoa frags and a toadstool. How should I acclimate? Just slowly add water, then dip then good? Also I have the ecoxotic panorama 24 inch light and was wondering when i should turn the lights on? WAit till tomorrow 2 hrs 3 hrs? When? And at 75%? ALso how many hours a day should i run them to slowly acclimate the coral. 4 hrs a day then 4 days later go up to 5 or what? BTW i have a 29 gallon with live rock and a biopellet reactor. on epercula bicolor blenny 6 line wrasse and royal gramma. Thanks.

With zoa, I always float the bag for a while to get the temp the same, then add some tank water every 5 or so min for about 20-30 min. After that, I dip in fresh water and then place in tank at the lowest point. If my MH are on then I try and put them in a little bit of shade for a few days and then move them over with the rest of the zoas a couple days later which is out in the wide open.

I have a 30 in deep tank and running 250W MH and most of my zoas are on the sand. That is only because I like the "garden" look at the bottom of the tank whereas I leave my SPS near the top. The zoas that don't do well down in the garden get moved around the tank till they appear "happy".
