Coral Banded shrimp Reef Safe?

Are coral Banded Shrimp Reef safe. I have read that they destroy infauna in your sand and can tear apart anemones and corals.

Is that all true? Thanks.


p.s. I have a Niger Trigger that is living fine with it.

TOTALLY! i have a niger, dwarf lion fish and a coral banded and they live together fine. also have 3 anenomes the whole nine. no problems. they find a place to call h ome and stay there all the time during the day. usually at night they run around the reef.

no problems here, have had them for years in reef/fish just keep up the iodine

i have never does iodine and mine has grown tons since having it. could my salt mix be adding it for me? should i be concerned abotu it. i never even tested for it?

The reason why I say are they reef safe bc it picked at my Condy Anemone last night about 5 times with its pincher but quickly pulled away bc I think it got stung.

you must be getting it in somthing. crabs, shrimp need it to transform (molt)

ok good. tanks been up a long itme with no problems so i guess if its not broken...... and your shrimp might just be curious. just keep an eye on him.

when i don't add iodine for a while, then do, in about 3 days you see the old skeleton shed, then a nice larger cb shrimp. I swear he is waiying a claw at me saying Thanks
