I went down to view my tanks the other night as I often do and saw something odd.
I have a pair of Coral Banded shrimp. One I've had for almost 2 yrs the other for like a year or so now.
I noticed that one of them had an odd colored swelling in its abdominal/tail area.
My first thought was "Oh cool.I'm finally going to get to see a molt." So i watched for like an hour or so and finally had to go to bed.
The next morning No molt and the shrimp looks the same. It's 2 days later now and it still looks the same.
Could this be an egg mass forming??
It's kind of a greenish-blue color and goes from about mid abdomen to the first tail section.Or maybe it's all in the tail its hard to tell for sure
And if so is there any possibility of raising them when they hatch?
I know if it is pregnant She'll go someplace where there's current and shake them loose when she's ready.
