I have a coral banded shrimp and he lost a leg today due to something falling on it. He lost the arm with the claw and it completely fell off. I was wondering if it will grow back and if it caused him any harm. If it grows back, will the new arm look the same as before. Thanks for any help.

Yes it will eventually grow back after it molts a couple of times. It should anyway. I got a Blood Shrimp with 4 legs and 1 claw and it grew them back. They should also look the same as they did before they were lost.

Thanks. I just got him on Thursday and he never comes out at all except a little when the lights are off. There is a little cave facing the back of the tank where he just sits all day. I only can see his antennas (if thats what they are) sticking out of the rock. I knew they are nocturnal but I thought I'd atleast see him. Is this just because he's new to the tank or is this how they are for everyone? Thanks
I forgot to ask. Has anyone ever had problems with these being aggressive to fish? I'm not having any problems, just wondering for future reference. I did some research before I bought him, but recently I heard something about them being aggressive at times. Any help appreciated. Thanks again
