Coral Beauty angel with ich

I got this coral beauty 3days ago and it has developed ich . I can't tell if its just still stressed from traveling or if this is a true case of ich. The fish is about 2 in long and it has ich on its Fins and the upper part of its body.the spots are very small so I don't know if it is full blown ich of stress ich . It's only other tank mates are one Benny and one coral banded shrimp . I have lots of crabs and snails a few urchins and one starfish. I really like this fish and I'm desperate for any help .please help. I'll try to attach a photo later it doesn't like my camera much.:sad1:

What in the world is "stress ich"? A fish either has ich or it doesn't. Is the fish in a QT? A pic would sure help. If you can't get on, Google "marine ich" Include images. Just compare an individual spot, the fish you see when you Google will be covered.

I did a fresh water dip this morning and it seemed to do some good for the fish. its swimming a lot more, the only weird thing is that its swimming in circles and at a downward angle. Ich is a *****!

FW dips do nothing for ich; the parasites are to deep to bothered by the low SG.

I have a formalin and malachite green medicine and I am considering moving him to the hospital tank. Will this med. Be effective?

If you have a hospital tank set-up, try hyposalinity. It is safe and effective. Formalin and maachite green won't help. Be sure the hospital tank is fully cycled. There is good info in the stickies at the top of this forum.

Thanks for all the help I beat the ich but the fish didn't survive I guess I learned my lesson , always quarintein
