Coral Beauty Disease

My son has a coral beauty that has a white bubble on one of its eyes. It totally covers the eye and at one point the bubble seemed to burst and I could see the eye again which looks okay, but now it has covered over the eye again. The fish is still eating which is a good sign. This same thing happened in the same tank not long ago to a yellow tang. It soon died. I dont know what it is and was just wondering if anyone could tell me what I might do about it. I thought I might do a fresh water dip since I am wondering if it could be a fungus or bacterial disease. All other fish are fine and water levels are good.

It sounds bacterial to me too. The fact that it is still eating is a good sign, the fact that a yellow tang died of the same thing is bad. That means it is transferring to fish throughout your tank.

Can you get the fish out of the tank? That would make a huge difference in how it could be treated. A FW Dip will probably not do any good. A pic would be most helpful, then a probably treatment with some type of sulpha based medicine (if you can get it out of the tank.) Again, a pic would be best, or if you like, I can come by to take a look.

Other fish I have added to the tank have been okay and fish that were already established in the tank have not come down with this infection as a matter of fact everything has been great in this tank. The coral beauty was added about a month ago and has been doing fine up until a week and a half ago. It was the same story on the yellow tang.
