Coral Beauty ????

I have been told that Coral Beauty fish are hit and miss reef safe. I was also told Flame angels were not reef safe. Ive had my Flame angle for 6 months with no problems. Am I just lucky or is the stereotype a myth for both fish? Any help would be appreciated!

My understanding is flames are hit or miss. I know I had one in my old 125 that wouldn't eat anything but my corals. He got traded in after a few days of damage...

I don't know about coral beauties.

I've had a coral beauty and a pygmy angel (at different times) that were both model citizens as far as coral, although the pygmy angel was the most aggressive fish I've ever seen with any other additions. That being said, I believe it is a matter of feeding and fish personality. I have heard of plenty of coral munching coral beauties and pygmy angels as well.

I have had pairs of both at different times and the were great, no problems. But you always hear of people having problems with different fish, you just have to ready to get them out of your tank if the start in on your corals.
