Coral Dip

I have both Coral Rx and Seachem's Reef Dip on hand. Are either of these safe to use on my new Aussie Elegance Coral from LA? :hmm3:

Yeah just follow the directions and use tank water not newly made water. This is for less stress on the coral.

I've been wondering about coral dipping. My wife acclimates corals like she does her fish. I guess coral dipping is a step we're missing. Is dipping corals a must? I've also heard Iodine is something you could use, is this true?

Izzy, coral dipping is very essential. Not doing this could introduce hitchhikers whether they're good or bad. Its very good that your acclimating them but maybe after you do that you could give them a quick dip. I'd reccomend revive by two little fishies. Ive been using this for a few months now and its been doing great. Its very cheap too compared to coral rx. The sachem dip is also great too.

I wouldn't put a coral in my tank without dipping. Bayer method for me and everything has been doing great.

Thanks nbyron74! I'll make sure to start dipping my corals from now on. Does revive work with all corals? I want to make sure I don't kill em.

I routinely dip all my corals. I was just wondering if there was anything "different" about the Elegance coral that might preclude dipping.
