Coral disease?

My sps corral has partly died due to bad water parameters. However it was doing better untill 2 days ago in the morning I noticed a piece of corral had dropped and was hanging over the sps, which has now died off further. There's a weird brownish layer growing over it which is now spreading over the last good part of the sps. I attached a picture, does anybody know what this could be?

what am I looking at ? that looks like a dead LPS.

That looks like a brown jelly infection to me... cut that branch off immediately as it will spread to the other heads
