coral disease?

Could someone please give me an ID on this disease? Is this a case of polyp bail out? Other corals in same water conditions appear healthy with full polyp extension.
Thanks

Another pic.
Coral actually began bleaching several months ago, and several polyps are still hanging on.

It looks like you're losing connective tissue between the polyps. This is commonly referred to as XXXX Tissue Necrosis. You'll hear a lot of Rapid or Slow tissue necrosis being said. With that being said, it isn't "polyp bailout". This is where the polyp completely lets go of the skeleton to float away. They can later reattach to the substrate and grow a new skeleton. You might want to read around the SPS Forum here on Reef Central. Acropora, like you have, will go through this on their way to the big beyond.

Travis,
Thanks for the reply and info. This has been bugging me for a while but I never posted it. I will do some searching for XXXX.

"XXXX" just meant fill in the blank with either Rapid or Slow. Try search "Rapid Tissue Necrosis", "Slow Tissue Necrosis", "RTN", and "STN"
