Coral feeding question

I'm using cyclopeeze and phytoplankton to feed my corals. I was wondering what others do. Do you feed these both the same day or alternate? Also how often?

What kind of corals? SPS don't eat phyto directly, although they will eat the critters that thrive off of it.

I feed cyclopeeze and oyster eggs to my sps tank 2x a week. Once a week I hand feed SPS mysis. I dose a small amount (30 ml for a 72g tank) of phyto daily.

the cyclopeeze seems to go a long way, so I feed feed the frozen stuff bar and cut a piece maybe as wide as a nickle is fat.

The corals I have are leathers, zooanthids, candy cane coral, pagoda, bird nest and an aussie acans.

I make up a mix of phyto, cyclopeeze (freeze dry), mysis, some time Rods frozen, some time oyster eggs and selcon. I mix this up in a container with tanks water and spot feed each coral. I do this once -twice a week. I feed after lights out . I also unplug my powerheads and sometime my main pump. Don't forget to turn your pumps/powerheads.The mix I uses changes as my supplies on-hand.

Thanks for the info. I wanted to make sure I was doing things right. Which corals do you have to spot feed? I was thinking I didn't have to spot feed with what I have. Do you feed after lights out, so the fish don't get too much? My corals have their tentacles out, even with the lights on. (not all the time, but quite a bit.) The phyto reads to feed every other day, is this a good idea?

I spot feed everything except the my leathers and xenyas(not sure how they take in food). I feed at night because that is what I read on different forums. I know other just put cyclopeeze and oyster eggs diectly in the tank and let it flow. I think you have to find a good schedule to feed your coral. To much and this will create other problems such as poor water quality or increased algae. This IMO is worse then under feeding them.
